State Scholarships

EdChoice Scholarship

The EdChoice Scholarship is available for the 2022-2023 school year to students who would be assigned to eligible schools. Students may apply for a $5500 scholarship to pay for tuition at Bishop Flaget School. There is no income requirement for this program.

To apply, students must first be accepted to Bishop Flaget School. After acceptance, parents/guardians will complete an EdChoice application, provide the child's birth certificate, and proof of residence. Once the state awards the scholarships, checks will be sent throughout the school year to the school in the parents' name.  Parents must sign the checks and turn over to the school for tuition.

Families whose tuition is higher than the allotted scholarship may apply for additional tuition assistance; however, families are responsible for the difference between the scholarship and the tuition balance.

Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship

The Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program is designed to allow students who require specially designed instruction to attend private schools. In the past, it has been difficult for special needs students to attend private schools because of the lack of funding for special services.  This scholarship provides funding needed to pay for speech/language services, autism services, intervention, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and social/emotional services.  Aide services may also be provided.

To apply, students must first be accepted to Bishop Flaget School. After acceptance, parents/guardians will complete a Jon Peterson Scholarship application, provide the child's birth certificate, ETR, IEP, and proof of residence. Once the state awards the scholarships, the school will be responsible for determining the cost of the services provided and if any of the scholarship may be applied to tuition.  The school will bill the state directly for all services.  The only costs which parents may incur would come from tuition.
