Kroger Plus Cards

Last year, we raised over $6000 from Kroger gift card and SCRIPS sales.  Let's make it our goal to do even better this year. Remember, SCRIPS are gift certificates and gift cards.  You pay only for what you get and the companies give a percentage to the school.  It's a great fundraiser because, technically, it doesn't cost a thing!  Think about using it for gifts, gas, groceries, clothes, and all the regular expenses that add up.  Plan ahead and we all benefit!  Go to www.shopwithscrip.com to get started. The enrollment code for Bishop Flaget is : DCFB2B169648. Contact Dave Byers for more information.

Families will receive 50% of the SCRIP profit as a tuition credit. Also, people who choose to buy SCRIP but do not have children at the school can designate their SCRIP money to go to special areas (music, technology, classroom teachers, tuition assistance) or to a particular family to help them with tuition. The other 50% will go to the school general fund for normal operations of the school.

We awarded over $9000 in tuition credits to families in the two years that we have been participating in this program.

Kroger Plus cards:  Parents are urged to register their Kroger Plus cards to enable the school to receive funds from Krogers. Please register your card (Click here). Remember, this is your Plus card, not your gift card. Register for Bishop Flaget School. Our organization number is 80403. Thanks! If you have questions, contact Dave Byers.

The Family Envelope

Emergency Cards and other information will be sent home in your Family Envelope the first day of school.  If your oldest child does not give the Family Envelope to you, please ask for it.  Please remove the papers from the envelope and return the envelope to school.  The Family Envelope will be used each month throughout the school year for communication between the school and your home.

School Lunch

Lunches will be available to the students on the first day of school and thereafter.  The cost is $2.25 for lunch (includes milk) and $.50 cents for milk only.  A menu will be sent home the first day of school and each month in the Family Envelope.  Ala carte items are also available.  Snacks will be $.75.

School Hours

Our school hours are from 8:00A.M. to 2:45P.M.  When students arrive early, they will meet in the school cafeteria from 7:45-8:00, and, if weather permits, they will proceed directly to the playground.  In the event of inclement weather, students will remain in the school cafeteria.  Supervision will be provided beginning at 7:45A.M., so please do not bring students before this time

Donations

Any donations of first aid supplies or copy paper would be greatly appreciated!  If you have games that the children could play when we have recess indoors or any playground equipment that is no longer used at home, please let us know in the office and we will see if it could be used by one of the classes.

We are also accepting donations to our school endowment fund.  This money is managed by the Catholic Foundation and is used for tuition assistance and available to borrow for capital improvements.  Our goal is to build this fund to $5 million to insure the future of Catholic education in Chillicothe.  Please see the link on the sidebar to learn about how you can donate to the Endowment Fund.

Funding Factory Printer Cartridge Collections

Don't throw that empty printer cartridge away!  Drop it in the box next to the teacher's lounge and we will send it off for $$$$.  This is another easy fundraiser that doesn't require any costs on our part.  However, we need your help in the collection of the used cartridges.  Check at work, with friends and relatives, and everywhere.  We can actually get collection boxes to take to the place of business.  These boxes are postage paid and ready to be sealed and mailed!  PLEASE NO TONER TUBES!!!!

Drop-Off/Pick-Up Procedures

The rules for dropping off students will remain the same as last year.  The drive at the office entrance is to be used for Drop-off/Pick-up Only after 8:10A.M.  Do not park in this drive since other cars will be coming through.  Tardy students or students who have to leave during school hours may use this entrance.  Please Do Not Park In The Driveway.  The east parking lot (by the gymnasium) is to be used for dropping off all other students and for picking up all students (including Kindergarten) after their classes.  Students may also quickly disembark along the curb in front of the school.  They may enter the building through the NE door after 8:00A.M. or in inclement weather.

Students will be dismissed at 2:45P.M.  Walkers should leave the building by the NE door along with the bus riders.  Bus riders will leave their classrooms and board buses through the NE door or wait in the cafeteria.  (City bus routes are determined by the City Schools. You may reach the City Schools' Bus Office at 740-775-2936.) Car riders will leave their classrooms and exit through the gymnasium door and out to the parking lot.  If their ride is not there, they are to wait with the teacher either on the sidewalk or in the cafeteria.  Car riders will be allowed to ride only in cars authorized by parents.  All students who are car riders are to be picked up in the parking lot according to the following policy: At 2:35P.M., the lot will be chained off, thus not allowing any more cars to enter.  By 2:45P.M. all students will be dismissed, and at 2:48-2:50P.M., cars will be dismissed out the exit area.
